Ceremonies honour the important events in our lives ~ being born, being named, coming of age, getting married and dying. They also mark other thresholds which we cross: for example, moving into a new house, separating, getting divorced and renewing vows. Sometimes they address specific issues which need healing like a house clearing or a letting go ceremony for someone wanting to move on in their life.
As an Interfaith Minister and Celebrant, I create and lead:
- Wedding Blessings, Handfastings and Vow Renewals
- Civil Partnerships
- Separations and Divorce
- Namings and Baby Blessings
- Coming of Age Rituals
- Funerals and Memorials
- House Clearings and Blessings
- Rituals Intended to Heal Specific Issues.
I like ceremonies to emerge from a creative process which begins with the wishes, beliefs and aspirations of the person(s) wanting to hold the ceremony. My role as an Interfaith Minister is to facilitate, guide and hold this process and, whenever appropriate, to offer my creativity and experience. I have a particular interest in how ceremonial occasions can be encouraged to happen in authentic and engaging ways.
